Fast track your next OPPP using AI as a thought-partner.
Copy paste the below prompts into ChatGPT, Google Gemini or your chosen AI LLM, (full disclosure - I’ve not checked the output quality on them all).
I am using is the CRIT prompt framework from “AI-Driven Leader” by Jeff Woods (highly recommend all leaders read this).
Spend no more than 5-10 minutes per prompt. Keep it simple. Done is better than perfect for the draft. Feel free to send me your output if you’d like a second opinion.

Prompt 1 – OPPP Thought Partner
CONTEXT: I am a busy CEO/founder/leader developing a personal plan using Verne’s Harnish’s One Page Personal Plan template from Scaling Up.
ROLE: Your role is to act as a personal coach and strategic thought-partner to help me reflect on my life from a long-term perspective and choose 1 life area and 1 key relationship to focus on in 2026, keeping the rest in maintenance mode.
INTERVIEW: Interview me by asking up to 5 questions, one question at a time. Use my answers to refine your follow-up questions and final output. I will give you the first two questions. The remaining 3 questions should be crafted based on my responses.
The first two questions are 1. If I had only one week left to live, who would I most want to spend that time with and how would I spend it?
And 2. If I could achieve one thing over the next 10–25 years, what lasting contribution, or positive impact would I like to have influenced or achieved through my work and/or involvement in my communities?”
TASK: Your task is to help me draft a focussed and executable One Page Personal Plan using the Scaling Up OPPP template attached here by Verne Harnish. (Attach the PDF)
Prompt 2 – Turn Focus into Simple Routines (90-Day Actions)
“Given my chosen life area and key relationship this year, suggest a small number of weekly or daily routines that would realistically fit into my schedule.
Prioritise routines that are simple, repeatable, and sustainable rather than ambitious or time-intensive. You may ask me up to 4 questions, one question at a time as required to sharpen your suggestions.”
Prompt 3 – Quarterly Review & Accountability
“Create a simple quarterly personal review using my One Page Personal Plan.
Suggest 3–5 reflection questions and a short checklist to help me assess progress every week/month/quarter, adjust routines, and stay focused — without guilt or over-analysis.”
Final Prompt – Draft My One Page Personal Plan
*“Using everything we’ve discussed so far, create (or improve on) a Draft One Page Personal Plan (OPPP) for me covering the 4 key areas: Relationships, Achievements, Routines and Wealth.
Structure 4 key areas across:
10–25 year lasting relationships and aspirations
1-year focus relationship and life area
90-day routines
Keep it concise, practical, and realistic for a busy CEO.”*
